Are you looking for an impactful way to create meaningful change in our state? Nearly 100 women and gender expansive candidates want to run for office — but they need campaign managers.

Now in its third year, Help Her Run is a nonpartisan, in-person training course being sponsored by a coalition of non-profit organizations that equips you to run a political campaign in Rhode Island.

  • Help Her Run is designed for anyone who is 18+ who would like to make an impact in Rhode Island. You don’t need to know which campaign you want to help in order to take the course. Successful students include:

    • People who want to make a difference

    • People who have volunteered for campaigns before

    • Activists and rally attendees 

    • People who have some free time during the height of campaign season (summer in Rhode Island)

  • The course is being offered by a coalition of organizations, and so the total cost to you is a nominal fee of $15.

  • This is an 11-hour course conducted over five weeks that will take place at a central Providence location with access to parking and RIPTA buses. The course is non-partisan and includes practical, hands-on instruction, and the opportunity to meet successful campaign managers.

    You’ll learn:

    • What being a campaign manager is really like

    • Fundraising and donor engagement

    • Communications and media strategy

    • Volunteer management and voter engagement

    • Campaign strategy and execution
